As we begin to emerge from the Winter chill AA events are starting to heat up! August is shaping up to be another great month with what promises a new highlight on the AA social calender, "AA's Got Talent". The event is being held on 29th of August and is a fundraiser for NEWYPAA the annual NSW Young people in Recovery Convention. Come and be awed, stunned and amazed by our phenomenally talented fellowship. If you have a talent come along and share it with us. Let your freak flag fly!!
Also fast approaching the Sydney Men's Stuff weekend at Vision Valley in Arcadia from the 21st to 23rd of August. This is shaping up to be a fantastic weekend with meetings on the Steps, topic meetings and a guest speaker bonfire meeting surrounded by your AA pals.
The quarterly Area G Assembly is on Sunday 25 October. This is your groups opportunity to send along a GSR and have your say at Area level. It has never been more important for our membership to be aware of what is going on in the National AA service structure.
The Sydney City Central Service Office has a new website. The site has information about the CSO as well as local meetings lists.
Finally a reminder that the Kings Cross Sunday evening meeting will be changing to a 7:00 pm start from September 6. The meeting will now run for one hour.
Tune in regularly to see what events and service opportunities are coming up. Email areagaasydney@gmail.com if you want to add an Area G service opportunity or event.
