Facebook Advertising

Area G has started a Facebook Ad campaign - a series of 6 pictorial ads that are linked to send the clickee to the AA meetings website. The ads only charge a fee when clicked on.

The Facebook ad account is anonymous and has been tested in Melbourne with successful additional awareness, particularly with younger problem drinkers over the summer period.

23/12/16 UPDATE - 27,000 PEOPLE HAVE SEEN THESE ADS ON FACEBOOK WITH JUST OVER 100 CLICKS TO THE AA WEBSITE.

The cost to the fellowship? $142. Great work Ryan T and other Area G trusted servants.

NEWYPAA IS COMING!!

NEWYPAA stands for New South Wales Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous.

Once a year we come together for a convention to celebrate LIFE without alcohol. It’s a weekend of fun, friendship, community, dancing, music, and healing. This convention provides an opportunity for people from all over NSW to share their experience, strength, and hope as members of Alcoholics Anonymous.

October 8-9

Venue - North Sydney Community Centre

220 Millers St, North Sydney.

2016 TOPICS OF CONFERENCE

General Service Topics of Conference are now available for all members. Voting on these should take place at your home groups Group Conscience before 30 October, when Area convenes to collect our Groups consciences' from its Group Service Representatives. The Area Delegate will then take the Area conscience to the General Service Conference in early November.

Area has emailed these to all known GSR's and groups.

Topics and attachments are available on request at areagaasydney@gmail.com

The Service Experience

Read about members and their experience with our 3rd legacy of fellowship, Service. Click on the service experience tab on the top menu (not this header!) for web edition 1.

Founders Day June 10 approaches.

This is the day in 1935 that Bill W and his friend Bob S founded Alcoholics Anonymous.

To mark this occasion, brown paper bags are distributed to groups. Groups are encouraged to take a collection (sometimes in place of that weeks meeting contributions) to help spread the message of AA to the Asia Pacific region.

Please contact the website or National Office for more information.
